Intake Assistant is responsible for the completion of intakes to the PFN program.  This includes both conducting a clinical assessment as well as coordination with stakeholders and clerical responsibilities associated with intakes. 

Qualifications –Required:

  • MSW
  • Experience with assessment and treatment of adjudicated youth and their families and the juvenile justice system
  • Valid driver’s license and registered/inspected vehicle
  • Detail Orientated
  • Excellent communication and organizational  Skills:

Qualifications –Desired:

  • LCSW/LICSW/LMHC
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience
  • Able speak fluently Spanish, Portuguese, Creole 
    • Added wage differential given to any hired candidate that is bilingual and fluent in a language that may be useful with the Agency's client’s demographics. 

Responsibilities 

  • Accept and manage referrals from DCYF in a timely manner
  • Facilitate and coordinate PFN service delivery following intake disposition
  • Maintain communication with DCYF referring caseworker throughout disposition process
  • Periodically attend rundown, utilization review meetings and Court as an observer of the various procedures being implemented and staff performance
  • Maintain a charting of monthly referral numbers for quality management purposes
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Intake Director 

Professional Development:

  • Become familiar with and adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics
  • Develop/maintain relationships with collaborative partners (schools, police, probation, DCYF, Family Court, Agencies, etc.)
  • Participate in all required agency/program trainings and supervision
